We cannot say whether it is the ancient tales about the Polynesians sailing the vast Pacific Ocean guided by the stars, a surf life-style in the most remote beaches, those rugged cliffs covered by lush vegetation or the dramatic scenario of the volcanic areas, but very deep inside ourselves we knew the Hawaiian islands were calling for us.
We visited three out of eight main islands.
Oahu is full of life, combining an stunning landscaping with the best surf spots of the world.
Kauai, being only the 10% of it accessible by car, is endless trekkings. No rush, only calm.
Maui is Haleakala, a volcano at 10.000 ft where the stars bright like nowhere else.
Every island had a story waiting for us, so we did our best listening to them.
